There are a lot of things to do for the whole family, whether its just fun on the beach or simply relaxing in the sunshine. Right on the beach you can enjoy several watersports, but also dolphin and bird watching. BEACH
The Algarve coastline is very popular because of the stunning beaches. You can have all kinds of beaches, with the majority having gained due recognition in the form of the EU "Blue Flag" for quality standards. From the coves, cliffs and rocky beaches like Praia da Luz to the ones with miles of sand like Meia Praia. From the most crowed to the most desert ones. WILDLIFE
DOLPHIN WATCHING
If you are keen on wildlife watching, you can enjoy unique boat trips along the western coast. We highly advise to book a Dolphing Watching tour.
The coastal waters are home of several species of dolphins, usually the Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis), Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and the Harbour Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) are the resident species. But you also spot some of the migrating, like the Minke Whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata), the Orca (Orcinus orca) or the Striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba).

BIRD WATCHING
If you are more into Bird Watching, the western Algarve Coast is known as an European hotspot for sea and migratory bird watching, you can enjoy watching birds difficult to see from the coast, such as storm-petrels, shearwaters and gannets.

But if a boat trip is not for you, you can also have a good time at the Zoo Lagos or Zoomarine.
At ZooLagos you can watch several species of animals, like mammals the Lemur, Monkeys, Chimpanzé, Prairie Dogs, the European Linx, horses, poneys, lamas, sheep; Birds and Reptiles. The underwater area surrounding Luz, is very rich in species, but also with some ship wrecks. And also in Portimão area we now have the Ocean Revival Project, where several portuguese war ships were sunk to create an underwater museum.

FISHING
Enjoy a great fishing day with family and friends. Go aboard a fully equipped sport fishing boat. Deep Sea Fishing, Shark Fishing, Big Game Fishing. Several companies operate the fishing trips, and leave from Lagos Marina.

SURF
The Algarve west and south coast are known by it's good surf conditions, all year round. If you're already a surfer, you can rent equipment, or go with a surf trip to find out the best spots. For beginners, there also a lot of surf schools with qualified instructors where you can learn to surf.

In the Balloon trips, you can enjoy some of the most breathtaking views in a 3 to 4 hours trip, choose between a normal flight shared with other clients or an exclusive flight which includes a breakfast picnic. But if you are more into adrenaline, the skydive is another choice, where you can go on a tandem jump or if you're already a skydiver, go for example, on a beach jump.
